Hope Rekindled: Sarah's Journey from Pain to Parenthood

For the last several years, 33-year-old Sarah, a businesswoman and mother, had been quietly enduring a slew of troubling health issues. She experienced persistent infections and constant lower abdominal pain, all of which eventually led to secondary infertility, as well as severe headaches. For a long time, Sarah didn’t know where to turn.

One day, while listening to Baba FM, Sarah heard about an outreach event at OneWorld Health's Bugembe Medical Center. Feeling both hopeful and nervous, she decided it was time to seek the care she had been putting off.

At the facility, the medical team asked about her symptoms and how long she had been living with them. A thorough physical examination and further testing revealed that Sarah had pelvic inflammatory disease (PID)—the cause of her discomfort and struggles with infertility. The team quickly developed a treatment plan, and with the right care and medication, Sarah’s health began to improve dramatically. Today, she is overjoyed to be pregnant—something she never thought possible.

But Sarah’s story does not end there. Her positive experience at Bugembe Medical Center has inspired her entire family, including her mother, to seek medical care at OneWorld Health’s facility. Now, she and her loved ones benefit from the high-quality, compassionate care provided by our team, and lead healthier, more fulfilled lives.
