Across the Plaza: Marcela's Journey of Care and Connection

Marcela is a 69-year-old patient who lives alone. According to her daughter, she refuses to go to any clinic other than "the one across the plaza"—the OneWorld Health facility. Marcela first came to the clinic one year ago, when she was evaluated and referred for her APP (personal pathological history) for congestive heart failure. At the clinic, her medication was restarted and her dosage was adjusted, and our team created a treatment plan to continually monitor her condition.

Thanks to regular follow-ups and careful medication management, our team is hopeful that our efforts can help slow the progression of Marcela’s condition. Despite her mild vascular dementia, her strong connection to our clinic brings us great joy and reminds us of the vital role we play in the community. Marcela’s loyalty to “the clinic across the plaza” inspires us to continue providing the compassionate care she and many others have come to depend on.
