Nicaragua
The Need
While urban centers have some hospital infrastructure, over a third of the population lives in rural areas with few clinics and even fewer doctors. Families often travel hours for basic care, and chronic conditions go unmanaged for years.
Doctor Shortage
Nicaragua has just one doctor for every 1,800 people, putting immense pressure on an already strained healthcare system.
Rural Health Access
Nearly 40% of Nicaraguans live in rural areas, where healthcare facilities are scarce, under-resourced, and often hours away.
Maternal and Child Health
In the communities we serve, 1 in 5 children suffers from chronic malnutrition, and far too many mothers—78 out of every 100,000—die from preventable causes during childbirth.
Chronic Disease Burden
Chronic diseases like diabetes, hypertension, and heart disease are on the rise, but consistent care remains out of reach for many.

Join Us in Making an Impact
In Nicaragua, geography and poverty still dictate who receives care. But with your support, we’re changing that. Together, we can bring life-saving services to families who’ve waited far too long—and ensure they don’t have to wait again.
